In 2004 Britain reached peak alcohol. Social media was kicking off and we were starting to realize the days of drinking and dancing like no one’s watching were over.

The desire to go out and have fun hadn’t left us, but the desire not to feel awful the next day definitely had.

The issue? Everything on offer meant compromising on something important.

Having founded Funkin Cocktails in 1999, I had a bit of experience in the drink trade, so I set about fixing the problem. After years of development and many, many taste tests, we launched STRYKK and our first two drinks: NOT VODKA and NOT RUM.
